The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. You can sign up at your local library, then read six library books of your choice, collecting stickers and other rewards along the way – all FREE.
Public Libraries who use 2CQR’s Lucid self-service software can promote the Summer Reading Challenge with a promotional screen for their self-service machines.
And now, all year round, the Summer Reading Challenge website helps children, parents and carers keep track of their reading, find new books to read, take part in competitions and play games.
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is Record Breakers, so who better to team up with than the champion of record-breaking achievements, Guinness World Records. Your users will have fun exploring the wacky and wonderful records on this year’s collector’s poster – there’s a whole load to discover!
Guinness World Records inspires and celebrates personal bests, so what better way to challenge your library users than to get them involved with Record Breakers this summer. If they’re looking for some great book suggestions, then they can visit the new-look Book Sorter!
