KIOSK BODY CLEANING

First – ensure you power the kiosk off and disconnect from the mains supply.

  • Dampen a lint free microfibre cloth with water and simple household soap.
  • Gently wipe the surface with the damp cloth.
  • Take care not to get moisture in any of the openings as water ingress could damage the kiosk.
  • Finally, dry with a clean lint free microfibre cloth.

SCREEN CLEANING

First – ensure you power the kiosk off and disconnect from the mains supply.

For general hygiene measures we would suggest regular cleaning with disposable, anti-bacterial touchscreen cleaning wipes. Ideally use anti-bacterial wipes that target viruses, although some can’t guarantee being 100% effective against Covid-19.

Anti-Bac Sanitising Screen wipes from aosonline are an example of a suitable product.

Avoid any products that are not specifically designed for use with touchscreens as this may result in damage to the screen and fascia.

Don’t use highly concentrated solutions…

Although ensuring the cleanliness of your kiosk’s screen is of the utmost importance, so is ensuring that the solutions you’re using to clean with are safe for use on screens.

Touchscreen manufacturer Elo suggests that products containing the following should all be avoided:

  • ammonia
  • thinner
  • strong alkali lyles
  • benzine
  • strong solvents
  • acids
  • detergents with fluoride
  • abrasive cleaners
  • isopropyl alcohol with greater than 70% concentration or methyl or ethyl alcohol with greater than 35% concentration

AND REMEMBER: Don’t get liquids inside of the screen or the kiosk itself

When cleaning, take special care to ensure that your cleaning solution doesn’t seep into the screen or the kiosk itself.

To avoid this issue, spray solutions onto the microfibre cloth first rather than directly onto the screen.

Next, remove any excess liquid, then clean with care.

We look forward to happier times with our friends and clients. In the meantime follow government guidelines and stay alert.
